Development of Geographic Information and Management Systems (GIS)
Geographic Information Systems (GIS), i.e., applications in which geodata is collected, analyzed, evaluated, and visualized, are used, for example, in energy supply, agriculture and forestry, as well as in urban planning or the logistics sector.
Meta-Level Software AG has many years of experience in developing GIS applications used in agricultural subsidies.
The EU requires its member states to digitize the application process for agricultural subsidies. This includes giving farmers the ability to draw and specify their cultivated areas on electronic maps overlaid with aerial images using a mouse.
The technology we use is based on the free tool uDig, a tool that is also used in Canadian forestry administration.
